Description: For most of my life, I lived in the Netherlands, where I
ended up studying biology at Wageningen University. After my MSc, I
took my first tentative step on the path of a scientific career by
starting a PhD at the University of Oulu, in Finland, which is where I
find myself at the time of writing. Although interested in many (if not
most) organisms and systems, my main projects so far have been focussed
on birds: communication in ravens (Corvus corax), foraging in geese
(Branta leucopsis) and now the diet of mainly Paridae (Parus major,
Cyanistes caeruleus, Poecile montanus, Lophophanes cristatus and
Ficedula hypoleuca). More information about my current work can be
found on this blog. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to get
in touch in the comments, or contact me using the link in the top
right corner.
